About us

The First United Methodist Church of Blairstown is a community-minded church that has enjoyed over 200 years as a congregation in Blairstown, NJ.

We seek to live as a diverse, multi-generational, Christian community that transforms individual lives and whole communities, through the love of Jesus the Christ.

Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. We live out this mission by nurturing our faith and relationship with God through worship, fellowship, prayer, and sacraments; serving our community and those in need through our food pantry ministry, Stephen Ministry, J.O.Y. Ministry, and other ministries of compassion; and giving voice to the marginalized and poor through acts of justice.

The First United Methodist Church of Blairstown offers a wide range of ministry, education, and service opportunities for people of all ages. Our congregation is made up of people from various faith backgrounds, many of whom live in Blairstown and other surrounding areas.

To learn more about our faith community, we invite you to read our newsletter, browse our photo gallery, join our mailing list, or simply stop by some Sunday morning at 10!
