Expressing Our Love for God

The more we know God and become aware of all that God has done for us through Jesus Christ, the more we will come to love God through our worship and our prayers. Our faith community gathers each week for worship at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Our service is a blend of contemporary and traditional music and other elements from different styles within the United Methodist tradition.

During worship, a message is shared, helping you to grow in your understanding of God’s Word and apply it to your life, and individual and communal prayers are lifted up. Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month, and is open to all who seek to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ and live differently through his grace. Special services are scheduled to celebrate Christmas, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunrise. See our calendar for specific dates and times.

You Have Options!

Worship is a communal activity. God created us to worship in community with one another. But we also realize that it’s not always possible to come to the sanctuary at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings, which is why you have options! Our worship service streams live on Facebook and Youtube. In addition, you can watch our services on demand any day at any time.

We also offer worship services for our friends at the Forest Manor Healthcare Center one Sunday a month.

Children Are Welcome

Jesus told his followers,

“Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to people who are like these children.” (Matthew 19:14)

Children are welcome and encouraged to participate in our worship services. We understand that it’s difficult for young ones to sit still for long periods of time, and welcome their wiggling or happy sounds. Children’s bulletins and coloring books are available – just ask one of our ushers when you come.

Lifting Our Prayers

God longs to be in a relationship with you. As with any relationship, communication is key.  Prayer is the practice by which we share our life with God, and God shares life with us. Wherever you are, approach prayer as a conversation with God. Just like other relationships in life, your prayer relationship with God will grow and mature when you invest your time into it.

In addition to your individual daily prayers, you can share your prayers with us during our Daily Pause to Pray and Praise at 8 a.m. on Facebook and during our Sunday morning worship services. Click below to share your prayer requests.

Giving is Loving

Believe it or not, your giving is an act of worship. It declares your love for God, your faith in God, and your trust that God will continue to provide enough for your needs. The apostle Paul told the people of Corinth,

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9:7

Your offerings enable us to continue our ministry of nurture and compassion and allow us to share Jesus’ message of love with others who need to hear it.

Celebrating Life’s Moments

No matter what stage in life you come to, the church is a place to celebrate life in all of its many facets. From the birth of a newborn, to the uniting of two people in marriage, and the remembering of a loved one, the gathered body of Christ is here to walk with you and draw into the presence of God.

Our pastor is available to speak with you and help you learn more about any of these rituals and answer all of your questions. To find out more, use the contact form below.
