Our church food pantry will be opening its doors to our neighbors in need of assistance on Saturday, September 4 from 9:30-11:30. What they will be receiving depends on the faithful generosity of the people whom God has blessed with the ability to support them – people just like you.

What should you give? The best guide is the healthy food that you depend on having in your own pantry at home. The Henry Ford Health System offers a wonderful list of healthy foods that are always in need on their website. The list includes foods like chicken and tuna packed in water, canned beans, veggies, and fruits packed in natural juices or water, whole grain cereals, pastas, and crackers, and low sodium soups.

Your donations can be left in the red bin by the kitchen entrance or at the food collection shed at the municipal building. Thank you for any support you can provide!

If you or a friend need assistance, please contact the church office by Friday, Sept 3 so we can get a custom order of food ready for you. Even if you don’t call ahead, you can just come on Saturday, Sept 4 by 11:00 and we can get you the food you need.
