Gardening season is here, and this Sunday we’re going to learn from some tips and tricks from the Master Gardener. For any of you who have ever spent time playing in the dirt and planting seeds, you know the joy and satisfaction that come with seeing the fruits of your labor sprout up and bear fruit in the form of beautiful flowers or delicious fruits and vegetables. As you stand back and watch this plant grow and take shape, I want you to think about your role in bringing this plant to life. What have you actually done to contribute to this life? What was out of your control? How has God’s hand been involved? The answers to these questions tell us much about our relationship with God’s work of salvation and kingdom building in our world today. Like the seeds we plant in the garden, the seeds of grace that we plant through our daily living are sprouting up all around us. What seeds are you planting? What crops do we desire? What is our role in bringing those crops to fruition? What is God’s? Join us as our community of faith gathers for worship online and in person this Sunday morning at 10 a.m. as we go Gardening with God. |
