Have you ever been lost? We’ve all found ourselves in an unfamiliar place or situation. The natural thing to do is to stop and ask for directions. But how do you know who to ask? Who is the best person to rely on for directions? And do we sometimes not even know we are being given directions?

In the Gospel of Matthew, we learn that when the Maji saw the star, they knew it was a sign of something exciting and they followed it. There were several times they were given directions along their journey- but they did not follow all of them (and that was good for all of us!)

In our journey through life and faith, we need to stop for directions, too. But where do we stop? Who do we listen to? And do we pay attention to the directions? Join us for worship this Sunday at 10a as Bethany Summers leads us in looking at a familiar passage in Matthew 2 and unpacking some of its deeper meaning for us in our lives.

Those of you who are brave enough to come out this New Year’s Day will be rewarded with some (Sunday-at-Church-Friendly) mimosas after our time together! So wear something comfy and let’s welcome the New Year together!
