How do you know if something you are buying is a good quality product and safe to use? Whether you are purchasing meat at the grocery store or an electronic item from a retailer or catalog, or even medications off the shelf, most of them have something in common: they are approved. Meat is USDA approved to be safe to eat; electronics are UL Listed to operate without causing a fire; and medications are FDA approved to be safe and effective and treating whatever ailment you are dealing with. Because of these approvals, when you buy one of these products, you do so with a sense of confidence.

It is this same sense of confidence that Paul wants his protégé, Timothy, and by proxy, us, to have, but from the perspective of the person presenting themselves to the work of God. “Present yourself to God as one already approved by him.”

What might it be like to present yourself to God’s work in this way? How would you life your life and live your faith differently? Join us for worship this Sunday at 10:00a, as we explore these questions and celebrate the grace of God that is alive in our lives!
