HOPE: “an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one’s life or the world at large.” (Wikipedia)

Are you hopeful about the future? If you’re like many Americans, chances are you might not be. Many young adults don’t believe that they will earn more than their parents; many older adults look at the state of our society and wonder what the future will hold. People across the ages look at the state of our nation or the state of our environment and are very concerned about where things are going. Indeed, we are a people in need of hope!

This Sunday at 10:00a, as we come together for worship in our sanctuary or online, we’ll take a look at the Book or Revelation and the hope that it offers us. Here’s a hint: our hope is not based Jesus riding in on a stallion to save the day, but rather on the inspiration the Spirit of Hope gives us to continually strive for God’s kingdom. I hope you’ll join me!
