Recently, a spate of severe weather outbreaks has caused devastation in the Midwest. United Methodist Churches in these areas are already responding to the many needs of their communities as search and rescue continues and recovery efforts will soon begin.
One of our greatest assets and privileges as United Methodists is to know we are not alone in our ministries but are part of a greater connection. While churches in the hardest-hit areas will work directly with UMCOR and established relief agencies like FEMA and the Red Cross, churches in other states like ours are raising funds to support these efforts.
