“Spirit of Service”

What direction is the Holy Spirit leading you to go? That may seem like an odd question, or maybe even a frustrating question. Many people I speak with would be happy to go in the direction of the Spirit if they only knew what direction it was leading them to go!

Consider this: when someone is injured or a child is crying out for help, what direction are you led to go? if you’re anything like me, you’re immediate inclination is to run towards the person in need, and not away. That’s the Holy Spirit at work in your heart!

The problem is that sometimes the Spirit leads us to go in directions that we don’t want to go. Like many in our world, we want the Spirit to lead us up the ladders of success, wealth, and position, but the Bible clearly teaches that the Spirit wants to lead us in different directions.

This Sunday, we invite you to join us for worship in our sanctuary or online as Chaplain Wen-Ling Lai leads us in discerning what directions the Spirit of Service is leading us to go. We hope to see you there!
